Despite the controversy surrounding her foul on Clark, Reese managed to achieve a double-double in the closely contested game, sparking considerable attention and discussion..

Amid the recent controversies involving the two rookies and the ensuing discussions, the Chicago Sun-Times reported that Reese responded to several questions with a succinct “I’m good.”

When asked about the initial tension, the former LSU standout replied, “I know how y’all like to twist my words, so I’m just keeping it short and sweet.”

“I can’t trust any of y’all. So I’m just letting you know — short and sweet.”

Reese has enjoyed a stellar start to the season, leading the 2024 rookie class in several statistical categories. She ranks second in points per game (12.1), first in rebounds per game (12.1), and second in assists per game (2.1). According to Basketball-Reference, she leads in win shares (1.2), indicating the estimated number of wins contributed by a player.

Caitlin Clark secured her second career double-double, while Aliyah Boston contributed 22 points as the Fever clinched their third consecutive victory.

Reese has faced challenges dealing with the intense attention drawn by her stardom. She faced criticism for supporting teammate Chennedy Carter after Carter’s clash with Clark in the Sky versus Fever game. Reese was subsequently fined for missing media obligations following the incident.

During the game against the New York Liberty, Reese received two technical fouls and was ejected, though the WNBA later revoked the second technical.
