ameron Brink sustained a worrying injury on Tuesday night, and it’s believed her rookie season could be over.
The Los Angeles Sparks first-year star could not exit the court on her own after suffering a non-contact injury, having slipped and tweaked her knee while driving to the basket in the first quarter of Tuesday’s clash vs. the Connecticut Sun.

Former NFL doctor David Chao, also known as Pro Football doc, reckons Brink is likely to have torn her ACL, which would rule her out for the rest of the season.
“According to video analysis from our panel of Pro Basketball Docs, there is significant concern that she has suffered a left knee ACL tear,” he said, via Sports Injury Central. “This diagnosis would be devastating for Brink, as it would rule her out for the rest of the season, causing her to miss the remainder of the Sparks’ campaign.”
Cameron Brink Left The Arena On Her Own
Reports noted that Cameron Brink walked out of the arena without assistance.
She only played four minutes in the 79-70 loss.
“Cam has a knee injury and will be evaluated tomorrow,” Sparks head coach Curt Miller told reporters after the game, per FOX News.
After starring for Stanford, Brink was the second-overall pick in this year’s WNBA Draft. She is averaging 8.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks a game.
She’s been selected as part of the Olympic team to represent the U.S. in the 3×3 basketball competition in Paris.
“Except for the 2019 season, I’ve lost a starter to injury every single year I’ve been a head coach in this league,” Miller added. “You just have to have the mentality of next person up and rally around it.”
