Sunday delivered one of the best WNBA games in recent memory, when the Indiana Fever were defeated by the Chicago Sky, 88-87.
It was a thrilling affair that produced some all-time performance from superstar players.
Head coaches Christie Sides and Teresa Weatherspoon have a right to be proud of their respective rosters (especially their respective rookies, Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark) for the excellent showcase of women’s basketball that took place.
Yet, an interaction between Sides and Weatherspoon in the moments after Sunday’s game ended has some WNBA fans concocting conspiracy theories about the contest that the two women just finished coaching.

During the postgame handshakes, Sides and Weatherspoon were seen having a long, private conversation, along with an extended embrace before they parted ways.
And this interaction has some fans spreading damaging rumors.
“The fix is in? It wouldn’t surprise me. There’s definitely an agenda going on,” one X user wrote.
“i’ve never had a single conspiracy theory in my life but SOMETHING is off here,” another fan wrote.
“Was a fix?” said a third.
There was most certainly no “fix” at play during Sunday’s game. Rather, this was just a wholesome moment between two coaches under a lot of pressure.
