Last week, the Las Vegas Aces held the third annual IXs Awards ceremony, a special event dedicated to recognizing outstanding women and men who embody the essence of Title IX through their remarkable lives.
Title IX is a law that makes it illegal for schools that get money from the government to treat people differently because of their gender. This means that schools have to give girls the same chance to play sports as boys.
The event took place at Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders. Among the distinguished guests were Aces standout players A’ja Wilson and Kate Martin. An especially touching moment occurred when Martin took the stage to present an award, resulting in a heartfelt interaction between the former Iowa Hawkeyes star and Wilson.

“Yeah, Kate. We love you, Kate,” Wilson screamed as Martin walked on stage.
“I’m so lucky. Wow,” Martin replied.
This moment between the two WNBA players turned the heads of many fans.
“a’ja wilson will hype up kate martin anytime she can”
“aja wilson. kate martin”
“kate martin everyone loves u”
“I want a rookie and the vet series on them next season”
The clip of Martin and Wilson comes from the Ace’s all-access documentary called ‘Unbreakable.” The series takes you behind the scenes of the Aces throughout the season and a new episode is released weekly.
