I n a recent episode of Podcast P, hosted by LA Clippers star Paul George, an unexpected revelation about Kawhi Leonard’s personality came to light.

The guest, Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink, shared amusing anecdotes that showcased a side of Leonard that few fans get to see-his sense of humor.

Brink & Leonard are New Balance ambassadors

Known for his stoic and reserved demeanor on the court, Leonard’s public persona has always been that of a serious and focused athlete.

However, Brink, a fellow New Balance athlete, offered a different perspective during the podcast.

She recalled a particularly memorable experience from a New Balance shoot where Leonard’s hidden humor shone through.

“Kawhi is actually one of the funniest human beings,”Brink shared on the podcast.

“Our head marketing guy at New Balance said they haven’t seen anybody make him laugh more than me. I don’t even remember what I was saying, but he was doing his thing, and it was hilarious.”
Brink, who signed an NIL deal with New Balance in 2023, drew a comparison between Leonard’s humor and that of actress Aubrey Plaza, known for her blunt and dry comedic style.

“He’s like the male version of Aubrey Plaza,”Brink said. “Just blunt, dry humor.”

The story provides a refreshing contrast to Leonard’s usual image and highlights a more relatable and approachable aspect of his personality.

Paul George, who has often vouched for Leonard’s humor, confirmed Brink’s observations.

“Kawhi is actually one of the funniest human beings,” George reiterated, adding that Leonard’s teammates frequently enjoy his wit, even if it’s seldom seen by the public.

Brink’s revelation was further illustrated by a specific moment during the shoot.

“He kept asking, ‘When is this going to be over?’ which was just classic Kawhi,” she said, laughing.

This playful impatience is a stark contrast to Leonard’s typical media appearances, where he remains composed and serious.

George has previously discussed Leonard’s humor on his podcast, sharing various stories from practice and off-court interactions.

Despite Leonard’s limited media presence and lack of social media activity, these anecdotes reveal a more dynamic personality.

Brink, supported by her god-sibling and NBA star Stephen Curry, has made significant strides in her career, transitioning from a standout player at Stanford to a promising rookie with the Sparks.

As Brink continues to develop her career in the WNBA, her reflections on Leonard’s humor offer fans a unique glimpse into the off-court life of one of basketball’s most enigmatic players.
