Chicago Sky star rookie Angel Reese had another tense moment with the media, but this latest instance may be the most bizarre one yet.

Angel Reese has made plenty of headlines in the first month of her WNBA career, and not just because of her strong on-court play. She has fueled her rivalry with Caitlin Clark in various ways, including when she cheered on Chennedy Carter’s unnecessary shoulder check on the Indiana guard in their June 1 game.
Reese has had several tense media sessions since turning pro, but the latest one with a local reporter in the Windy City is bound to make headlines for the next little while.
Steve Greenberg of the Chicago Sun-Times claims in a new article that he tried to speak to the Chicago rookie for an interview. She told him “I’m good” and delivered a blunt message for the media:
“I know how y’all like to twist my words, so I’m just keeping it short and sweet. I can’t trust any of y’all. So I’m just letting you know — short and sweet.”
Again, this isn’t the first notable clash Angel Reese has had with performers during her rookie year. She told reporters they’re not just watching women’s basketball because of one person (presumably a reference to Clark), and that she’s fine being a villain.
Reese has certainly backed up that statement. The 22-year-old and Carter both refused to apologize to Clark over the aforementioned shoulder hit (in Reese’s case, over her celebration of the hit).
The LSU product has averaged 12.1 points, 10.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 steals per game over her first 13 games. At 5-9, Chicago is tied with the Indiana Fever (6-10) for the final playoff spot.
Angel Reese & Chicago Welcome The Fever On Sunday
If fans couldn’t get enough of the Reese-Clark rivalry a month into the season, well, you won’t have to wait long for the next installment. Chicago will host Indiana this Sunday in a 4:00 p.m. EST contest on ESPN.
The Fever have won each of the first two contests, both home games.
