The Sky trailed by as many as 15 points late in the third quarter before storming back to secure an 88-87 victory. The win marks their first over the Fever this season, yet they still trail in the series by a score of 2-1.

Reese came to play on Sunday, finishing the game with 25 points and 16 rebounds, extending her double-double streak to 8—a WNBA rookie record.

After the game, which saw nearly 10,000 people come out to spectate in Wintrust Arena, Reese made it clear to the fans and media just how thrilled she was to notch the big victory.

Cameras caught Reese blowing kisses to the fans who hung around before exiting into the tunnel to celebrate with her teammates.

Reese and Clark’s rivalry dates back to their college days, when Reese starred at LSU while Clark became the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer with Iowa.

Reese defeated Clark in the 2023 NCAA national title game, and Clark responded with an Elite Eight win in this past season’s tournament before eventually losing to South Carolina in the championship.

The rivalry carried over to the WNBA, with Clark winning the first two matchups of their rookie season. Now, it’s Reese’s turn to celebrate after finally taking down her rival on the professional level.
