The Chicago Sky will be clashing with the Indiana Fever at 4 PM ET on 23rd June. The game will begin at the Winstrust Arena in Chicago and will be broadcast on ESPN and SN. The match is much anticipated since this will be the third time that NCAA rivals Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will be clashing in the WNBA. This will draw a lot of crowds since the previous two games between the Fever and the Sky had only built upon the potential rivalry between the two.
As per the Across the Timeline, the Fever has recorded the highest attendance with 16,045 people in every game whereas the Sky has recorded 9425 people on average. Therefore, with the ever-increasing crowd ticket prices also increase exponentially.
Caitlin Clark-Angel Reese rivalry to put Chicago Bull to shame
As per ticket master, the lowest ticket for the Fever Sky game is $145 in Row K and there are 6 tickets left. Whereas the price increases as the viewers get a chance to be near their favorite stars. The two parallel side views of the game in sections 109 and 124 have a ticket price of $1050 and $415. The price again increases steeply with the craziest ticket being $5000 in row 2 which is just at the entrance of the court.

As per Jordan Valinsky of CNN. com (h/.t: Sports Business Journal) these are the most expensive WNBA tickets. The average ticket pricing as per the source was “around $253” as per TickPick which is 187% higher than the normal ticket value for the Sky. Whereas as per ESPN, the average ticket price is $351 which is also an exponential increase in the ticket price and a record-breaking price in the past 10 seasons.
Another point to note is that Valinsky also checked the ticket prices at different ticket providers and at one of them the price was hinged at $9000 which again is a record-breaking number for the WNBA. As per SBJ, the ticket prices were 116% more expensive than the past season ticket sales for the Chicago Bulls home average game. Hence this game completely looks as if it will be one of the best games in the WNBA.
Why is the game priced so highly?
Meanwhile, the main reason for this match is the clash between Reese and Clark. Previously, Clark’s team defeated the Sky on both the two occasions that they had clashed. In their first game, Reese’s teammate Chennedy Carter had shoved Clark which became a big controversy since Reese at that time stopped from the bench and started clapping.
In the second game against the Fever, Reese was given a flagrant foul 1 when her hand hit Clark’s head while going for a block. This again was a source of controversy as Reese had blamed the referees for being partial.
However, Clark has denied any such rivalry for Reese and stated “If it’s going to help move the game forward, then absolutely.”Hence, this game will decide whether the rivalry takes on another road or if this is the end of further rifts between the two stars. Therefore, it is one of the most important games.
Hopefully, for the fans, the judgment will be out soon and Reese-Clark will take the most important step in this game which will either end it or start a new fiasco.
