In the 2024 WNBA draft class, Caitlin Clark and Kate Martin have emerged as standout players. Since being drafted in mid-April, both have quickly become integral parts of their respective teams. Clark has become a key player for the Indiana Fever, while Martin, who was selected by the Las Vegas Aces in the second round, is being recognized as one of the most valuable finds of the draft.

Iowa's Kate Martin Went to WNBA Draft to Support Caitlin Clark — and Then Got Drafted Herself: 'A Lot of Emotions Right Now'

During college, Clark was a substantial member of the Iowa Hawkeyes, where she formed a strong bond with Martin. Together, they faced numerous challenges, including competing in two NCAA Women’s National Championships. Regrettably, despite their hard work and dedication, victory eluded them in both of those games.

Clark took to social media on Monday to post a touching message about her memories of playing basketball as a child. She expressed her nostalgia for those times and reflected on how quickly time passes.

In her post, Clark selected two photos to share. One was of her playing with the Fever and the other was a childhood picture of her on the basketball court.

“Time flies,” Clark captioned the post.

Martin commented on Clark’s post with a genuine question.

“Where has the time gone?” Martin asked.

Clark and Martin have previously mentioned their strong friendship. Their recent interaction only reaffirms the depth of their bond.
