WNBA fans on social media are getting crushed for their “despicable” behavior toward Angel Reese on Wednesday.

Reese, who is starring for the Chicago Sky as a rookie, received an outpouring of hateful messages on social media, simply for sending prayers to Cameron Brink.

“There is no way y’all see these kind of comments under Angel Reese’s tweet showing compassion for Cameron Brink’s injury & think this is normal.. There is something weird bubbling underneath the surface of this CC vs Reese drama & it has nothing to do with basketball,” one fan wrote.

Some of the hateful messages include:

“Caitlin owns u.”

“Prayers that you stop your jealousy and hate. Your reckless behavior could have hurt Caitlin.”

“If Caitlin got hurt you would post a celebration tweet.”

Reese received a flagrant foul for her play on Caitlin Clark earlier this season. She deserved the foul, though she wasn’t happy with the referees.

“It was a basketball play. I can’t control the refs. They affected the game obviously a lot today,” she told reporters.

“I’m always going for the ball. Y’all are going to play that clip 20 times before Monday.”
