“Nobody was hurt,” a source tells PEOPLE of the singer, who was arrested by the Sag Harbor Police Department on Tuesday, June 18

Justin Timberlake has been arrested for driving while intoxicated or impaired on Long Island, New York.

A representative for the Sag Harbor Police Department told PEOPLE that as of the morning of June 18, the musician was in police custody.

PEOPLE has reached out to a representative for Timberlake for comment.

A source said that the “Selfish” hitmaker, 43, was arrested on DWI charges after hanging out with pals at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor. He was pulled over after leaving the establishment to drive to his friend’s house.

“Nobody was hurt,” the source said. “He will be arraigned in about an hour.”

PEOPLE confirmed Timberlake will be charged with one count of DWI and two citations — one for running a stop sign and one for failure to keep in lane.

On Sunday, Timberlake celebrated Father’s Day by penning a heartfelt tribute on Instagram to his sons Silas, 9, and Phineas, 3½ — whom he shares with wife Jessica Biel.

Calling the boys his “2 greatest gifts,” he thanked them both “for giving me my biggest purpose.”

“I learn more about myself everyday just because you both chose me to be your Daddy,” Timberlake wrote. “I will always be there for you through your peaks and valleys… to lift you up and show you how high you can take this life and to pick you up when you fall. And, of course, to flood you with insufferable Dad-jokes all along the way.”

“I love you both so much,” he added.
