Justin Timberlake showed his fans a lighter side of his ongoing Forget Tomorrow World Tour when he enlisted his wife Jessica Biel to join him in a ‘Swedish candy taste test.’

The 43-year-old singer–songwriter kept the mood light in a video posted to his Instagram reels on Wednesday in which he sampled sweet and sour treats from the Swedish candy company BonBon.

In a second video, his 42-year-old actress wife approvingly munched on some of the sweets, before other members of Justin’s crew gave their reviews.

But many fans weren’t delighted by whimsical display in the comments, and they blasted the embattled NSYNC member for allegedly trying to distract from the aftermath of his DWI arrest earlier this month.

Timberlake — who was pictured being led around by police while in handcuffs shortly after he was taken into custody in Sag Harbor, New York — was dressed in a baggy all-black casual outfit.

‘Why do I gotta go first?’ Justin jokingly whined in what looked like a green room at Madison Square Garden — based on the photos of the arena and acts that have played at it that lined the walls — where he was performing later that evening.

After the other tour members had a chance to taste candies, which ranged from five to a full ten, Justin came back for a second piece.

‘Oh! I like that a lot more than the first time,’ he said approvingly. ‘Oh, wow!’

He gave the ring-shaped piece of candy an impressive 9.5.

In another clip, his wife Jessica Biel took center stage.

She wore a gray sleeveless ribbed sweater with chic cutouts and twisting strands over her chest, indicating that Timberlake had probably filmed the videos on Tuesday, when she was seen wearing the top on her way to Madison Square Garden.

The actress also had a cool black leather jacket draped over her shoulders, which matched her black jeans.

As jubilant as the videos seemed, many fans and followers didn’t appreciate the lighter moments just days after Timberlake was arrested for a DWI.

‘You’re a real one for not shutting off your comments lol,’ wrote one person, though many of the negative comments were quickly pushed down by positive comments that didn’t reference the controversy at all.

Another poster called the videos ‘Damage control,’ and several people complained that the clips seemed ‘awkward’ or ‘fake.’

Justin was arrested on June 18 around 12:30 a.m. when a Sag Harbor Village Police Department officer stopped him in the village in New York’s Hamptons after he allegedly ran a stop sign and veered out of his lane while driving a 2025 BMW X7, according to a court document.

‘His eyes were bloodshot and glassy, a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was emanating from his breath, he was unable to divide attention, he had slowed speech, he was unsteady afoot and he performed poorly on all standardized field sobriety tests,’ the court papers said.

The 10-time Grammy winner was released without bond later in the morning after being arraigned in Sag Harbor. He was charged with a driving-while-intoxicated misdemeanor, and his next court date was scheduled for July 26, the Suffolk County district attorney’s office said.

A bartender at the hotel confirmed to People that the singer only consumed one drink before the arrest.
