Analyst Accused of 'Bias' for Reese Over Clark WNBA Rookie of the Year Argument

While Reese was already a global star before her rookie season began, the string of impressive performances she has produced (including getting a WNBA record with 14 consecutive double-doubles) has heightened her profile exponentially.

To the point where the 2024 WNBA Rookie of the Year Award race is now between her and Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark.

When asked by ESPN’s Malika Andrews whether she’s keeping close tabs on the Rookie of the Year race, Reese said, “Um, not really. I mean, my teammates always say stuff about it, but I try to have tunnel vision and focus on what the main thing is.

“Getting into the playoffs is something I wanna do,” Reese continued. ‘So just wanting to work and wanting to grind every day is something that I look forward to.”

Clearly Reese isn’t focused on individual awards right now.
