According to former WWE writer Jon Rineman, a recent segment between Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan that was botched on TV may have been done by the USA network itself. The ex-writer in question also talked about what this could mean for the future.

Dominik and Liv recently had a segment in which the latter surprisingly kissed Dom without warning. The segment was not shown on air, as RAW had already ended, but the clip went viral on social media and turned many heads in the pro-wrestling community.

With WWE moving RAW to Netflix soon, Jon Rineman thinks this could make things awkward between the company and the USA network. Speaking in an interview with Kevin Kellam of Sportskeeda, he stated:

“I wonder if USA [Network] did that because of time or because of content. But it could be, if that was because of either one, maybe that’s USA kinda sending a message. And if they are gonna be difficult to work with, that’s the one thing that could kind of thwart things. It’s awkward because I know you got SmackDown coming to USA, but SmackDown’s a different show. I think RAW, if done the right way, can be a little edgier… They have been trying to do that, so, but it’s an awkward transition.” [4:56 onwards]

Bully Ray thinks the kiss not being aired was a deliberate move by WWE

According to veteran Bully Ray, Dominik and Liv’s moment was intentionally kept off the screens.

Speaking on the Busted Open podcast, the Hall of Famer stated:

“I think the WWE did it on purpose. And if somebody really screwed up in the Triple H era, I don’t think that would make heads turn as quickly as it would in the McMahon era. If Vince was still there and they missed that shot, or they went off the air, there would be problems this morning. You would already hear stories about heads rolling. I don’t know; for some reason, my gut tells me this was done on purpose.”

It remains to be seen how the storyline between the two stars progresses in WWE.
