Based on true events and directed by Oscar winner Florian Gallenberger, the film revolves around Daniel (Brühl) and Lena (Watson) who, according to IMDB, become entangled in the Chilean military coup of 1973.
‘Daniel is abducted by General Pinochet’s secret police and Lena tracks him to a sealed off area in the South of the country, called Colonia Dignidad.
‘The Colonia presents itself as a charitable mission run by lay preacher Paul Schafer but, in fact, is a place nobody ever escaped from. Lena decides to join the cult in order to find Daniel.’
The première comes after an Oxford college invited a bevy of celebrities including Watson and Benedict Cumberbatch to share meals with students as visiting fellows.

Lady Margaret Hall yesterday announced a star-studded list of ‘eclectic’ appointments, which also includes Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys.
The college’s principal, Alan Rusbridger, former editor-in-chief of the Guardian, said the 11-strong line-up would connect students with their ‘worlds’.
The positions will be part-time and participants will be encouraged to ‘drop in’ to eat with the students and meet informally.

They will also be asked to do ‘one thing a bit more structured’ such as a debate, performance or seminar.
Other appointees include the former children’s laureate Malorie Blackman, the chief constable of Thames Valley police, Francis Habgood, director Beeban Kidron, musician Mark Simpson and high court judge Rabinder Singh.
Mr Rusbridger said in his blog: ‘They are people drawn from a variety of backgrounds, callings and professions and we want them to form a bridge between our own academic community and the worlds they inhabit and represent.’

A list of possible visiting fellows was drawn up by the college’s governing body, and then narrowed down by a committee – with all but one of those chosen accepting the positions.
He added: ‘They are welcome to come and stay in college if they’d like a place temporarily to think or work.’
Mr Cumberbatch studied for a BA in drama at Manchester University and has an MA in classical acting, while Miss Watson has a degree from Brown University in the US.
Mr Rusbridger added: ‘Some of the names we announce today did not go to university. One left school at 16. We think we can learn much from them – and we hope they treasure their time with us.’
Visiting fellowships are more commonly given to scholars and academics, but only one of the 11 new visiting fellows is an academic – Jennifer Rohn, a cell biologist at University College London.
