He also revealed he thought the star would eventually commit suicide
MICHAEL Jackson reportedly branded Prince one of the rudest people he’d ever met in a string of rants about his chart rival.
In a series of tapes that were secretly recorded 30 years ago, Jackson, according to the Mirror, which revealed the tapes for the first time, went off on a number of rants about Prince, who died this year.

Jackson, who passed away in 2009, is believed to have called the late pop star “mean and nasty” and suggested he would one day kill himself.
In the tapes, which were recorded for his Moonwalker autobiography in 1988, Michael said: “I don’t like to be compared to Prince at all.

“I have proven myself since I was real little. It’s not fair. He feels like I’m his opponent.
“I hope he changes because boy, he’s gonna get hurt. He’s the type that might commit suicide or something.
Jackson also reportedly suggested Prince would kill himself one day
Jackson also accused his diminutive rival of being “very competitive” and added: “He was so rude, one of rudest people I have ever met. He has been very mean and nasty to my family.”
The Mirror also reported that Jacko also mocked Prince’s appearance at a James Brown tribute show in Los Angeles which took place in 1983.
Prince, who died in April of a painkiller overdose, reportedly mistook a paper mache stage lamppost for a real one and fell into the crowd and Jackson sneered: “He made a fool of himself. He was a joke.
“People were running and screaming. I was so embarrassed. It was all on video.”
Jackson is also believed to have slated his brothers Jackie and Jermaine
But it wasn’t just Prince getting the brunt of Jackson’s wrath, but, according to the Mirror, he also venomously laid into his own family.
Ranting about his brothers, he said Randy was “hardheaded”, Jackie was “negative” and Jermaine was “talented but lacking self-confidence”.
Jackson also reportedly called sisters Latoya and Janet ‘weird’ and a ‘tomboy’
He added that sister LaToya’s behaviour was weird, younger sister Janet was a tomboy and he loathed his “emotionless” dad Joe.
Jackson died of a heart attack, and this week it was revealed that his children Paris and Prince walked in on their lifeless dad as his doctor tried to revive him.
