Nike’s A’ja Wilson x LeBron James Collab Leaves Fans Awestruck: “A Woman of Culture”

“Every detail is perfectly tuned to my game and style.” This is what A’ja Wilson said about working with Nike for her A’One collection. But before her own signature line with the athleisure brand drops, she has another way to keep the fans wooing. After Angel Reese proudly showcased ‘The Joker’ on her custom Reebok PEs, another DC character has made its way into the WNBA. Interestingly, her ‘brother’ LeBron James is also a part of this electrifying gig.

Recently, A’ja Wilson posted a tweet sharing the look of her new shoes with the world. She wrote, “Put A Shock To Yo System” while revealing her latest PEs. The colorway on these cleats is inspired by DC Comics’ beloved 2000s Superhero– Static Shock. Wilson apparently collaborated with King James for the Nike LeBron 21 PE shoes.

Earlier as well, A’ja Wilson proudly showcased Bron’s collection as she wore his silver LeBron 21 PEs. Certainly, it was a smart choice as those shoes were not the only things shining in the Michelob ULTRA Arena that night. The 2x WNBA champion wore the silver shoes in the Aces’ opening night against the Phoenix Mercury where they also received their championship rings.

But seeing how this 90s kid brought back the cartoon back to life and will only add to it with her electrifying performances vs the Indiana Fever, the fans are already excited.

A’ja Wilson’s love for DC gets hyped by the fans

In terms of basketball, A’ja Wilson is already winning hearts. The WNBA MVP frontrunner is averaging 26.9 ppg and 11.1 rpg. Moreover, her leadership of the team has helped her bring them through rocky roads as well. And after giving back-to-back high-octane performances, her shoes are getting as much hype as herself. After the big reveal, her fans and DC lovers came in the comment section to show some love to their star.

One fan added the gif of a love-struck Donald Duck holding his chest. They also suggested that by including the superhero from a DC comic book series, she has done what a woman of culture would do. It certainly points out that the relentless forward is a fan of DC as well.

“A woman of culture”

Another one came up to mention how Wilson is making things surrounding her very meaningful with every passing day. Probably, the fan meant that the 3x WNBA blocks leader is having as electrifying season so far as the Static Shock. Another instance where A’ja Wilson proved this fan was when she made the announcement of her Nike A’One collection in South Carolina during the preseason exhibition game. It will be interesting to see if the mystery behind her new logo is also a meaningful one.

“It gets deeper by the day for me ”

Surely, the 90s and 2000s kids would be the happiest to see their childhood favorite make a comeback. That too through King James and A’ja Wilson’s collaboration. Subsequently, a fan expressed their excitement about seeing their superhero. They also seemed to be an Aces fan as they mentioned how the No. 22’s achievements are what GOATs would do. Future GOAT anyone?

“My MF childhood!!! Aja on some GOAT SHIT!!!!”

One fan mentioned how they are also a late 90’s kid, something that connects the hooper with them. These shoes took them back to their childhood as they mentioned how they would watch Static Shock every Saturday morning. They also had a special but forceful request to Nike to release the PEs so everyone could enjoy them.

“Almost forgot, we were the same age! Ugggh Static Shock is such a Saturday morning throwback put em in the store Now!!!”

Another one could just mention how Wilson always wears some special and meaningful Lebron 21 PEs in her games. They also asked the Las Vegas superstar about where she gets these killer shoes from. Last year too, the 27-year-old wore LeBron XX colorway, sending the internet, and even Bron, into an exciting fit.

‘dam u be having the toughest lebron’s, where u get them from”

A’ja Wilson is certainly moving the pieces around to get herself another MVP award on the floor. But it is also great to see her doing that in some great cleats. While her own shoe line is still due for the next year, it will be interesting to see which LeBron 21 PEs she chooses next time.
