Ahead of Sunday’s huge Fever-Sky WNBA matchup, WNBA analyst Nekias Duncan, co-host of “The Dunker Spot” podcast, highlighted one “kinda nuts” Caitlin Clark statistic.

This season, Clark’s true shooting percentage (56.9 percent), which adjusts for three-point and free-throw attempts, is 3.6 percentage points above the league average (53.3 percent).

As Duncan writes, that’s pretty remarkable considering “the coverages she’s seen and the long ball not falling to her standard yet.”

Duncan then pulled Clark’s stats from Indiana’s current four-game winning streak, including 16 points, seven assists and seven rebounds per game on 62.9 true shooting percentage, to highlight Clark’s growing comfort after playing nearly half a WNBA season.

Per Across The Timeline, Clark’s true shooting percentage ranks 10th in the league among players with at least 10 field goal attempts per game.

Despite ranking 16th in the WNBA in three-point rate (55.7 percent), Clark has been great at getting to the foul line, ranking fourth in the league in free-throw rate (29.6 percent), according to data from Her Hoop Stats.

Clark is averaging 16.2 points, 6.2 assists and 5.4 rebounds per game this season. Per Across The Timeline, she’s the only player in league history with at least 275 points and 100 assists in her first 17 games.
